Central Texas Flood Relief
Just as families were beginning to recover, another flood has brought new loss and uncertainty. Together, we can help our neighbors feel supported, cared for, and less alone.
Rivers rose faster than families could react.
Days of heavy rain sent the Guadalupe, Pedernales, and Leona Rivers surging overnight. Uvalde was left largely cut off, with roads submerged and a shelter-in-place order in effect. More than 1,000 power customers are without electricity across Gillespie, Kerr, and Kendall counties, and Kerrville’s surface water treatment plant is currently offline due to operational issues. More rain is forecast through Friday, and officials say some rivers could still reach historic levels.
