Official Statement on Minneapolis Tragedy

In response to the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis that claimed the lives of two children and injured seventeen others, the Texas Diaper Bank extends its deepest condolences to the grieving families and community.

Jorge Medina, CEO of the Texas Diaper Bank, shared the following message:

“I would like to share a message from the Texas Diaper Bank with the people of Minneapolis. In light of the recent tragedy, we send our love and support to Minneapolis, just as they shared their love and support with Texas families affected by the July 4th events. We are friends, and together, we are strong!”

Our hearts are with every family mourning the loss of 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel and 10-year-old Harper Moyski, and we stand in solidarity with the Minneapolis community during this unimaginable time of grief. In times of tragedy, communities must support one another, and we are honored to offer our compassion to a city that has shown such kindness to others in their darkest hours.
